I attended the 9th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Educational Conference at the Minneapolis Convention Center Saturday October 9th. In participating as a vendor in their Resource Area with a booth, I had the opportunity to see many of my past customers eager to show me their new ‘do’s’ as well as make new contacts with more current needs.
This photo if of Betty Jean Sanders and myself. She is a breast cancer survivor who works with the SAGE program at Hennepin County Medical Center. The SAGE program is a breast and cervical cancer screening program whose primary objective is to provide free screening and follow-up services to uninsured and underinsured women. Betty is working intensely to promote the upcoming African American Breast Cancer Alliance’s 20 year Anniversary “A Night of Shining Stars Gala” set for Saturday Oct 23rd/ at the Hilton Garden Inn in St Paul. She does amazing work with her community and breast cancer support.
