It’s the middle of August already!  Where has the summer gone?  Here are a few highlights:.  I was fortunate to have FOX 9 News here May 6th to do another feature story for their 5:00 news.  You can view the segment on the ‘About Us’ page of my website.  Marni Hughes did a great job with my story and I was honored to have her visit to my studio.  You can see photos on the testimonial page.
 
I was invited to be guest speaker at the Golden Valley Rotary Club in early June.  It was a nice compliment to be asked and the group was very responsive.  I shared my cancer story as well as how I started my business in a tough economy.  People are generally very interested in how I transitioned from a 27 year career as an employee, into owning my own small business. I’m somewhat out of my comfort zone speaking in front of groups, but it is becoming easier.  I felt good about my time with the group.
 
My days continue to be filled with amazing women coming to visit my studio. I can see that word-of-mouth referrals are a big part of how my business is generated.  The ultimate compliment is when a satisfied customer asks for business cards to share with their oncology offices and/or friends.  I’ve had numbers of women say “I’m going to tell everyone I know about you!”. Hearing that inspires me to continue to give my best to each person who enters my studio.
