Wow!  What a day!  Thank you to everyone who attended my Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House.  I was overwhelmed by the support and encouragement I received.  I will hold onto those words as I move forward in the weeks and months ahead. 

The day started with the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. I was honored to have the St Louis Park Mayor Jeff  Jacobs,  Dr Brian Rank, my oncologist,  and Pastor Joel Johnson  present.  I shared my story and the significance of the date, April 8th.   One of the big highlights was having the massage therapist (who discovered the lump in my neck) present and when I acknowledged her, the group turned and gave her a round of applause.  Very  touching.  I also recognized and thanked my family for their support through my cancer journey and now, my new business venture. A tearful moment for all of us! 

The remainder of the day was filled with more family and friends and ultimately a visit from Maury Glover and a FOX 9 News interview. I was their feature story on the 9:00 news that evening! Ida Marie Catering provided a delicious lunch complete with home baked bars to die for!

I got home just in time to see the news story and felt very blessed by such a memorable day.
